The yellow element in the middle is the actual burner, surrounded by an approximately 2-inch orange peel reflector. Both the reflector and the pill behind the electronics that power the burner are made of metal (aluminum and brass), which is essential in helping to dissipate the heat that is produced (yes, even LEDs, like any electronic circuit, produce heat, just way less than incandescent bulbs!). |
